Last week I was proud to lead a team of Vanderbilt Law Students at a community event discussing renters' rights, housing, and other landlord-tenant issues in the Nashville community. The event was the first of this year's Street Law volunteer opportunities, which I was excited to put together in my capacity as Co-Director of the Street Law program. We visited Matthew 25, Inc., a homeless shelter that empowers unhoused Veterans and men to restore their lives. We received lots of great questions and provided useful information for the folks in attendance. I'm looking forward to continuing to lead these events throughout Nashville and empowering more individuals to know and assert their rights here in Tennessee.
